While filming a TV show, I got to handle one of John Wayne's movie six shooters. I set out to find a pair of Rugers that were good matches. I got a pair in stainless and added the kind of grips The Duke liked in many of his movie pistols. I set it in this photo with some of my Spanish American War items in an additional tribute to Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Riders.
